Klaus struggled to breathe;
watching the scene before him with ample surprise. Even he didn’t know the
witch held this much power. He would need that amulet if he was ever to fend
her off. In this form she’d be able to manipulate him and perhaps even kill him
and though he knew she wouldn’t dare do so there were plenty of other things
she could do.
As she stood distracted he writhed
under her control; trying to escape her grasp. Damon paid little attention to
Klaus at this point as he observed the change in Bonnie. Her gaze clouded once
more with a deep obsidian cloud that seemed to bleed into the whites of her
eyes. Inwardly, Damon tried to shake it off; convinced he had to be imagining
it.
That’s when it struck him; he fell
to his knees as once again he was thrust into Bonnie’s mind. He saw what she
had done for Klaus. He also knew at the exact moment why she did it, to save
her mother and thereby himself, his brother and even Elena. She didn’t know
that she would end up saving Elena, not until much later but she was relieved
to say the least.
Or at least the Bonnie that Damon
knew was this girl that towered over him now wasn’t that girl at all. As he
wondered through his mind; her memory flashing before him like a movie, he
could swear he saw blackened phantoms peer in the corner of his eyes. Like
there was something inside her that controls her now, something /else/.
Something that didn’t at all seem deterred
by his presence but instead was amused by it. He was expelled from her mind
none too soon as it seemed her power was waning. Oceanic hues flick away from
her to where the Klaus shell was just now pulling himself away from the wall. “This
isn’t over,” he spoke in that thick voice that sounded strange from Tyler’s
body.
“Oh great,” Damon mumbled as he
vanished from the house. Damon’s gaze traces away from the door and back to
Bonnie who was breathing hard and blood dripped from her nose. He barely
noticed the intoxicating scent as he stood from the ground to grip her body. As
he held her, deep set cobalt optics surveying her form, anger and confusion
built within him.
Mentally, he took count of his ever
growing list of problems. Bonnie has gone rogue, little demon like things took possession
of her body so first he would have to fix that. Meanwhile, Klaus wandered the
world in a nice Tyler shaped shell and he assumed in that moment that it was in
fact Klaus who was searching for the Lux Lunae a reason for which has yet to
present itself.
So first things first, he pulled
Bonnie into his arms like he had before and carried her to the closest resting
place which happened to be the couch. He laid her there; taking note as her
eyes slowly fluttered open. At first she said nothing but her fingers lifted to
dance down his face. Damon paused; cerulean irises locked onto her now caramel
hues.
He wasn’t sure if she knew what she
was doing but he dare not push her much further than she had pushed herself at
this point so instead of speaking he just waited to see what she would do. Her
hand curled around his neck in a gentle and if he didn’t know any better
sensual way. He was so used to Bonnie’s consistent hatred of him that he was
taken aback by her actions.
In the next moment two things
happened; Bonnie’s lips meet his in a fevered kiss that he couldn’t explain
even if her could form a proper thought and stranger still he found himself
kissing her back.
