Ghost World

The Tomb vampires’ ghosts wreak havoc on yet another day of celebration in Mystic Falls and nothing good ever happens during these events.

Mason returns as a ghost and his goal is to save Tyler from Klaus. He lures Damon into a cave and traps and tortures him. When Damon is released, he goes to tell Bonnie that Mason Lockwood has returned. He tells her to reverse whatever spell she did that brings people's ghosts back. She is all for it since it will also get rid of Anna. After Bonnie’s attempt at fixing it makes all the ghosts corporeal, Elena can also see them, and she spots Jeremy kissing Anna. She tells Caroline and soon later Bonnie finds out. Bonnie needs Elena's necklace to break the spell but they do not know where it is. It turns out that Anna took it. Elena convinces Anna to give up the necklace and Jeremy delivers it to Bonnie. Meanwhile, Lexi comes back as a ghost and locks Stefan up and tortures him to help detox him for Elena. “Aww I missed you too Friend” Lexi makes Stefan feel that he has gone without human blood for years. He tries to prey on Elena’s feelings to allow him to go free but it’s no use Elena wants to save him more. Bonnie’s Grams also comes back as a ghost to help Bonnie. They put a spell on Mason just as he finds what he was looking for. Once Mason leaves, Damon goes to Alaric for help to enter the chamber since it seems he can’t. Reluctantly, Alaric agrees to help and goes in to finds cave paintings. Bonnie completes her spell and Lexi disappears, leaving Elena alone with Stefan. Lexi charges Elena to continue on with Stefan's detox. Elena tells Stefan that he has to regain hope, and she leaves him there, chained up. Before Anna disappears, she is able to reunite with her mother Pearl but not before causing irreparable damage to Jeremy’s relationship with Bonnie. She said that Matt was able to let go of his very own sister, so why couldn't Jeremy let go of Anna. Jeremy leaves, and Bonnie notices that the necklace they tried to destroy was still in the fire hardly bothered by the spell.

Smells like Teen spirit

Alaric starts teaching Elena how to kill vampires so she might be able to protect herself of course if she goes against Klaus being able to stake a vampire isn’t going to help her. Katherine is busy trying to wake up Michael since he might be the only person who can kill Klaus. He wakes up and is convinced he can kill Klaus. Katherine reminds him that he is still weak and that he needs flesh to function. But he refuses human blood and instead pulls Katherine into the coffin and feeds from her. It's the first day of school for the kids in Mystic Falls. Bonnie and Jeremy are having issues since Jeremy keeps seeing Anna. Elena is having a hard time since it is her one year anniversary with Stefan. She convinces herself she needs to get over him. Klaus left his sister, Rebekah, behind as he fled town so she tells Damon she is crashing with him. She immediate starts making friends when she shows up at school and takes over Caroline's spot as queen bee. Matt continues to see the ghost of Vicky, and she convinces him that she can be whole again. The catch is that she has to kill Elena to stay alive. Vicky’s stay is short lived when Bonnie sends her back to her grave. Out of the wickedness of his heart Stefan decides to return to school to protect Elena but has a difficult time concentrating since he’s all hopped on the human blood. The gang attends a back to school bonfire, and Damon goes to keep his eye on Rebekah. Rebekah doesn’t appreciate the babysitter and stabs Damon. Elena gets drunk and allows herself to fall off the bleachers. Stefan’s compulsion doesn’t allow him to let her die but that’s not exactly how Elena sees it. Alaric uses that time to stab him so they can lock him up. That doesn’t last long though because Vicki attacks, Elena is forced to save Stefan screwing up the detox plans. Stefan asks Elena why she saved him, letting him die would have fixed a lot of issues but she’s convinced he can find his humanity. He pisses her off by calling her pathetic; she shows him just how pathetic she is when she punches him with the staking device. What not Stefan whose the bitch now? Tyler feels that he is beholden to Klaus since Klaus essentially saved him from the pain of having to change monthly. Jeremy is still seeing dead people and slowly he’s realized that he might still be in love with his dead ex-girlfriend Anna. That’s when they realize they can touch hmm what could possibly go wrong with that? Oh that’s right Mason Lockwood could attack Damon!

The Reckoning

This is the apex of the season. This is the episode when Stefan is forced to go full out Ripper.

Damon insists Katherine reveal her plans to him. She tells him that she has the necklace, and she has Jeremy. Pearl told Katherine she knew how to kill Klaus, but she didn't share the information with her, only with Anna. And since Bonnie accidentally lets is slip to Katherine that Vicki and Anna have been communicating with Jeremy Katherine knows exactly who she needs to find out the information she’s looking for. Anna never had the intentions to help Katherine, but Katherine threatens to hurt Jeremy so Anna gives in. The only person that can kill Klaus is Michael remember that guy from the flashback episode? The problem is that he is entombed and if they let him out, he'll kill everyone since he’s got some sort of damage where he’s a vampire who only kills vampires. Klaus realizes that the original witch covered her tracks by lying to him about killing the doppelganger – he figures out he has to keep Elena alive. Hybrids need doppelganger blood to complete their transition. He tests this on Tyler by feeding him then killing him, luckily he’s right and now there’s brand new hybrid in town. Tyler Lockwood. Klaus compels Stefan to feed on Elena. He tries to resist but in the end it’s no use. He feeds and sends Elena to the hospital. Klaus siphons her blood to create more hybrids. Damon the ever superhero rushes off to save Elena regardless Katherine’s protests in his words “I wouldn’t have done it for you” and all he had to do to send Klaus running was say one word "Michael". Damon takes Elena home and offers to compel her to forget everything that's happened. She refuses, insisting that everything she's experienced is important she needs to remember so that she can move on of course that’ll be hard now that Ripper Stefan is sticking around to watch the doppelgänger. Through all of this Matt trusting Bonnie to save him sacrifices himself to see what Vicki is trying to tell him. And Jeremy and Katherine find Michael, there only hope in killing Klaus. Things are finally heating up on the TVD set.

Disturbing Behavior

Rebekah, Klaus, and Stefan ask Gloria the Chicago witch for help finding Rebekah’s necklace but when she does the spell she sees Elena and her friends and the necklace. She neglects to tell Klaus everything she sees, seems Gloria has interest in getting the necklace for herself. She tells Stefan but he refuses to cooperate with Gloria so she does something any self-respecting witch would do in this situation she tortures him. Katherine saves him but only to Stefan on her side, but Stefan isn’t in the mood to help anyone today. Meanwhile, Elena and Damon grow closer, despite Alaric's warning for Damon to stay away. Bonnie returns and meets up with Elena and Caroline. Like Alaric, Bonnie also warns Elena about Damon, personally I don’t see the difference date one vampire you date em all. Gloria's spell on the necklace causes it to burn Elena so she takes it off and gives it to Bonnie to see what’s up with it. Later, Elena meets back up with Bonnie to get the necklace back but Elena disappears out of thin air – just another episode of when twins attack. After an event at the Lockwood's, Liz, Carol, and Damon are shocked to see Bill arrive. It turns out that Bill is immune to Damon’s compulsion himself spell. Bill reveals that he wants to douse the city's water with vervain. Damon in a fit of rage over everyone insisting he need to act more like the old Stefan kills Alaric just to get him out of his way. “I am not Stefan so how bout you stop trying to turn me into him!” He’s right, he isn’t Stefan and I don’t see why anyone would ever want him to be. Damon on a tear also goes after Bill only to be thwarted by Caroline who saves her dad. Bill eventually leaves town. Sometime in this chaos Tyler and Caroline grow very close and we love the Forwood action! Meanwhile, Rebekah senses Stefan isn’t entirely on board the Hybrid train but who is these days?

03-03 The End of the Affair

In this flash back episode Klaus takes Stefan on a stroll down memory lane. Of course Stefan can’t remember this particular memory because Klaus took it from him. Believe it or not Stefan and Klaus used to be friends WHO KNEW!? And on top of that Stefan totally bedded an original, good for you mate! Klaus goes to Chicago to ask help from a witchy friend of his who says she needs Rebekah. In case one homicidal original isn’t enough Klaus introduces Rebekah, his sister and she’s got some spunk let me tell you! And she still only has eyes for one vampire; Clair Holt is incredible in this role simply irresistible. Little does their witch know Rebekah doesn’t actually have what she needs. Elena and Damon leave to bring Stefan back and Elena finds a bit more than she bargained for as she reads through his diaries and investigates home to the Ripper himself. Inside the closet she finds a list of names, names of every person he’s ever killed.  Also, in that closet Stefan finds Elena and for a moment we think he might give her up but he doesn’t. The flashbacks tell you everything you never wanted to know about ripper Stefan and his friendship with Klaus eventually Klaus allows Stefan to remember but until then he continues to hold it over his head so that Stefan won’t remember the real reason Klaus compelled him. Michael but we don’t know anything about that yet.  Meanwhile back at the homestead, delusional daddy thinks he can fix Caroline. Well Papa she’s not broken she’s just a vampire. Tyler calls in Sheriff Forbes to help him save Caroline before her crazy father kills her. Later, in a moment of self-sacrifice, moments he seems to have a lot lately always trying to protect Elena, he offers himself to Klaus instead of Stefan because “he’s so much more fun.” Indeed, someone us believe so but Klaus doesn’t want him. He wants his old pal Ripper back and plans to keep him around as long as possible. Stefan has figured out what Klaus needs to make his Hybrids and Stefan ever the Martyr tells Elena he doesn’t want her anymore so that she will give up on him and stay far, far away from Klaus. However, good news we’ve seen the softer side of Tyler Lockwood and we are loving it! Another thing we love, that eye brow thing that Stefan does SO well! Mmm Mmm Mmm!

The Hybrid

Episode starts with a bitter Damon and his snarky comments about Stefan killing his pretend girlfriend. Seems Damon cared more about this fake girlfriend than he thought, or perhaps he’s only angry because it was Stefan who killed her. Elena remains delusional, Stefan is still there yes of course but he can’t leave or else he would have so she continues to put herself and everyone she cares about in danger by chasing him into the woods. Where he and Klaus are about to execute their plan for a hybrid army Thereby going into the woods that’s not only full of werewolves but could very well be full of Hybrids. Though you and I both know how well that went for Klaus since all his hybrid pals started bleeding from the eyes and wandering around like zombies before going rabid and dying, Poor pouty Klaus, those lips could make anyone want to disappoint him. Stefan once again saves Damon showing that he’s still in there somewhere but the Ripper seems to be stronger than we may think. On a side note, does anyone else LOVE the fighting scenes between Damon and Elena? I know I do the scene in the lake, delicious. Meanwhile, missing Lockwood not being very stealthy in her attempts to check if Tyler is a vampire then calling a secret someone about a ‘vampire’ problem, Uh-oh Caroline, Daddy’s home, Tyler then shows his momma that there’s more lurking in the shadows these days. And while all that’s going on Jeremy enlists Matt’s help to contact Vicki, if you ask me contacting dead people, never a good idea. Poor Matty surrounded by all these special people with special abilities and he’s just human. Of course to make things more complicated Anna warns Jeremy not to trust Vicki perking our interest making it almost impossible not to contact Vicki out of curiosity. Well boys you know what they say about curiosity don’t you? The shows goes out with a heartfelt conversation between Damon and Elena, once Damon realizes that the ripper hasn’t taken Stefan completely he decides that perhaps it’s not too late to save him after all. Of course before he did that he wanted to show Elena that he’s no longer alone in his feelings for her. Those words that just tear through your soul, “Because when I drag my brother from the end and deliver him back to you I want you to remember the things you felt when he was gone.” That’s enough to send anyone into the open arms of Damon Salvatore.

The Birthday

It’s Elena’s 18th birthday best night of a teenager’s life right? NOT! Maybe if you’re a normal teenager who isn’t aware of the vampires that seem to be flooding the town of Mystic Falls. We all remember what happened last season. Well this one starts off with a bang! Ripper Stefan sometime between hunting down werewolves and torturing them he pays his brother a visit to personally deliver a message by killing Damon’s pretend girlfriend. Creating the illusion that the ripper has taken full control of him, of course we know better than that, the one heart wrenching phone call made to Elena tells everything we need to know about where Stefan’s heart really lies. Meanwhile sexual tension and normal tension as well hangs high over Elena and Damon’s head especially after the death bed kiss. And in case that’s not enough drama for one episode Caroline and Tyler have it out over the love affair that ended just shy of interesting last season. Finally, they get over themselves and give in yes, yes I know #girlsqueal. On top of that Jeremy is pulling a Sixth Sense and seeing dead people. I don’t know about you but it seems the TVD writers and cast sure knows how to throw a party!

Dreams

Okay so I’ve written in blog format before after all writing is my life. It’s what I breathe. For a while now I’ve known I wanted to be a writer. Started out with poems and graduated to short stories before settling on my very first novel series I like to call IDS Chronicles. I’ve always been good with words, quick talking, and often smart talking as well. Grammar hasn’t always been my thing though and I still struggle with that every so often. Although I’ve found the more I write that better I get at it. Currently I’m working on ‘Prodigal Sun’ the second book in my series and as I look back on my first book I see just how far I’ve come in my writing. I’d like to use this blog to share with you my journey soon I’ll be publishing my first book, Prelude, and hopefully it’ll touch people like the things I’ve read have touched me. This blog will be my outlet as well, where I can complain about my day and review what happened on my favorite shows. I hope you will enjoy my writing and that it’ll inspire you to follow any dream you may have. Dreams are important; they give us something to strive for and without them we’d just be wandering aimlessly through life. Believe in your dreams because dreams do come true.
