The Hybrid

Episode starts with a bitter Damon and his snarky comments about Stefan killing his pretend girlfriend. Seems Damon cared more about this fake girlfriend than he thought, or perhaps he’s only angry because it was Stefan who killed her. Elena remains delusional, Stefan is still there yes of course but he can’t leave or else he would have so she continues to put herself and everyone she cares about in danger by chasing him into the woods. Where he and Klaus are about to execute their plan for a hybrid army Thereby going into the woods that’s not only full of werewolves but could very well be full of Hybrids. Though you and I both know how well that went for Klaus since all his hybrid pals started bleeding from the eyes and wandering around like zombies before going rabid and dying, Poor pouty Klaus, those lips could make anyone want to disappoint him. Stefan once again saves Damon showing that he’s still in there somewhere but the Ripper seems to be stronger than we may think. On a side note, does anyone else LOVE the fighting scenes between Damon and Elena? I know I do the scene in the lake, delicious. Meanwhile, missing Lockwood not being very stealthy in her attempts to check if Tyler is a vampire then calling a secret someone about a ‘vampire’ problem, Uh-oh Caroline, Daddy’s home, Tyler then shows his momma that there’s more lurking in the shadows these days. And while all that’s going on Jeremy enlists Matt’s help to contact Vicki, if you ask me contacting dead people, never a good idea. Poor Matty surrounded by all these special people with special abilities and he’s just human. Of course to make things more complicated Anna warns Jeremy not to trust Vicki perking our interest making it almost impossible not to contact Vicki out of curiosity. Well boys you know what they say about curiosity don’t you? The shows goes out with a heartfelt conversation between Damon and Elena, once Damon realizes that the ripper hasn’t taken Stefan completely he decides that perhaps it’s not too late to save him after all. Of course before he did that he wanted to show Elena that he’s no longer alone in his feelings for her. Those words that just tear through your soul, “Because when I drag my brother from the end and deliver him back to you I want you to remember the things you felt when he was gone.” That’s enough to send anyone into the open arms of Damon Salvatore.
